Just had a look through the Play coming soon section and found the following box sets of comedies (all complete as far as I can tell)

Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin - all 21 episodes
Men behaving badly - series 1 to 6
    New Statesman - series 1 to 4
Jeeves and Wooster - series 1 to 4

Looks like I'll be spending some money soon !

B'stard by name, b'stard by nature!
The New Statesman was bloody hilarious!

How many different series' has Rik Mayall done altogether?

I can think of Young Ones, Bottom, Filthy, Rich and Catflap (I think thats the name!) and New Statesman and a few appearances in Blackadder

I've seem him pop up in a few movies too
(less said about Guest House Paradiso the better!)

I'm not sure that one is complete mate.

Choices say "all 36 episodes" and all six series

    http://www.choicesdirect.com/templates/product.asp?ProductGuid=661056

    Series 1, 2 and 3 were 6 episodes each
Series 4 and 5 were 7 episodes each
    Series 6 was 6 episodes
The Final Trilogy: Last Orders was 3 episodes

Looks to me like they just took 6 disks x 6 to come up with 36.

That means it's not clear if the Final Trilogy disk is included or not. Also, Jingle Balls won't be included, which was the 1997 Christmas special, and retails separately (different company own the rights).

Yes I think you are right there, I'd forgot about the Christmas stuff.

Also on October 13th, Comedy Club are releasing a box set containing series 1 and 2 of Mapp and Lucia. This is rather irritating, as Granada released Series 1 last year (which I bought), but have never released Series 2. Thus I will have to buy Series 1 again in order to get Series 2.

At least with the Jeeves and Wooster set all four series have previously been released, so nobody will have to buy any duplicates.

Just noticed that Rising Damp is coming soon too. I hope they do something with the sound so that you can actually hear it - some recent episodes on Granada Plus sound terrible.
