I'm not sure which ones better a combo drive or 2 separate
    cd/dvd reader and a CD-RW unit

I would have thought that having them separately would make copying cd's directly without placing them on the hard drive quicker, but a friend told me that the combo drive option would be quicker - now I am really confused.....

    Please Help:confused:

I have seperates which for me is fine. I can't see how a combo would be quicker + you could have problems making a combo region free. I would say get seperates.

Mine is a combi and is fine.

    Pioneer 104

    Reads and writes DVD-R -R/W and CD-R -R/W

Only need for two drives would be direct copying.

I copied an enhanced CD to HDD the burnt it as a redbook compatible CDR

Can't compare sound quality as I gave up exchanging it after a few goes, when I found out it was not a disc fault as such:mad:
