    Hiya,

I'm thinking about combining the two items in the title to result in a top notch entertainment system for under 500 pounds. The audio system also allows me to plug in my mp3 player, which is how I listen to music most of the time. The HXD970 will allow me to record up to two freeview channels (1 to DVD, 1 to harddrive) while watching Sky (I hope). I'm assuming I can also record Sky with this and if there is any serieslink facility, even only on freeview, that would be great (I haven't found any info about that yet). So I guess what I'm asking the experts is will these items do this or is there a better combination for the same price?

    Kind regards,
    M:lease:

I can only tell you about the sony970b , it can only record one thing at once , from any source

so you cannot record to hdd and dvd at the same time , and it only has 1 digital tuner ( and 1 analogue tuner )

it will record from a sky box

    it does have series link

for a 2 channel freeview recording system , look at the humax 9200t pvr
