    i have a 'spare' xbox and would like to put a different case on it so where would you modders out there recommend to get one? and how hard is to remove the guts from one box to another(once all outer screws are removed, i do know about the ones under the stickers!)

    Not really, i've opened up my xbox before, and i've upgraded pc's n stuff

    modern PC's are like lego they used to require skill once to take apart these days most of them can be done with a spoon.

    The xbox isn't that difficult to take apart. but it can be fiddly. do a search on the some modding site and you'll find a diagram on where the screws are. take out the HD, DVDdrive and you can see the bottom. remove the motherboard screws and you should be in business.

    what case are you using as a replacement? are you doing this because you need too or because your bored?

    I'm doing this as i'm bored!!!! and i'd like some suggestions on where to get cases from as all the sites seem to be american whenever i search for them

    i cant really help on cases though - sorry.

    oh and you'll need some "star" screw driver bits as it doesn't use normal screws.

    I'm on live tonight with a mate (a member here) i ask if he can help. :smashin:

    Seems that WhiteDog do coloured cases for £30 but it say the fron replacement panel only fits thomson drives, are they the ones with the holes in the tray?
