    Can anyone here help me?

I've just switched my LCD tv on and the colour has totally gone all funny??

Basically it's all kind of pink and not watchable at all.

I'm not very technical but have tried all the options on the tv etc and nothing works. I have a feeling that something has blown/packed up working in the tv but as I said I'm not very technical.

Just wondered if any one on here had seen this before or could advise? If it needs repairing is it worth paying or would I be better off buying a new tv.

It's not an expensive tv but is only a few years old. It's a goodmans 19''

I've attached a picture of what the picture on the tv looks likes. I took it best I could with a camera.

    Any one have any ideas?

    Hi Emma

If that washed-out picture is the same on all inputs (i.e. aerial input, DVD player input, games machine input etc.) then, unfortunately, there is a problem that requires an engineer's visit.

IMO, take the opportunity to buy a new TV.

looks like its fit for the bin, im afraid.
to repair it would cost more than a new tv.

    Thanks for the replies.

Oddly enough I switched the tv on yesterday (1st time since my post) and the picture is back to normal????? No idea how this has happened?

Very strange but if it goes again I think I'll have to buy a new tv

Could be down to heat. If it's got a dry joint, differences in temperature could cause it contract and expand.
