I have a brand new Panasonic LED 42WT50. When watching 3D there are terrible off colour blotches such as pink blotches in blue sky, bright red blotches on faces. These are not subtle - they are large, off colour splodges. They are not there all the time but when they appear it is bad.

I've tried all sorts of picture modes/contrast/colour etc, etc but the best I can do is move the blotches around but not get rid of them.

Somewhat odd thing is that 2D is absolutely awesome with no problems at all.

    Anyone have similar?
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks

Wierd thing is the panel is absolutely perfect in 2D.

Which makes me think it's not the panel. The more I look at it the more it kind of looks like over processing or something.

Still, think it will be going back!

Wondered if any other owners have the same problem.

I have the 55" one. I've been watching Hugo in 3D tonight and it's been perfect. Probably the best 3D I've ever seen, really. Sounds like there's something amiss with yours. Is it the same on all your 3D content?

It is much more noticeable on Sky 3D and BBC 3D. The olympics opening ceremony (especially the James Bond segment) had some very bad instances.

Blu-ray is not nearly as bad but it's still there. Funnily enough I also watched Hugo last night and it happened a bit around hanging lights and some times on peoples faces.

What version of firmware do you have? I have 1.621.

It's a damn shame because 2D is just superb.

    Thanks for the reply

I have the same firmware as you. I updated the TV as soon as I got it (30/6). I have about half an hour of Hugo still to watch so I'll look out for it. Hope I don't spot it though!

Haven't got Sky 3D anymore but have watched some of the BBC stuff on Freesat and haven't noticed anything...
