    I am experiencing a colour bleed problem when i connect up my equipment as follows:-

    dvd player -> amp -> tv

    I am sending an s-video signal using a 's-video & 2 rca -> Scart' cable (ixos brand)

    Note: it's not the well known black & white problem, just a loss of colour and some additional shimmering

    By wiring the system up in different ways I have confirmed that:-

    - the dvd player is sending out colour via s-video port correctly

    - the amp in turn, is taking in and sending out colour via s-video port correctly

    - the tv is taking in colour via the scart port correctly

    So I then thought that it was the cable that was to blame, so I bought another cable, but the new cable did NOT fix the problem.

    Any help would be very much appreciated.

    Thanks.
