Very happy with them going back to basics so to speak but I would much prefer a more modern day setting with boots on the ground.

Would love a game based around the Iraq/Ahgan wars, you could spread some missions in to places like Yeman, North Korea,Russia ect.

BOTG is good but hope they have at least the same type of fast movement they had in BLOPS2

Anyone else really gutted that the PS4 does not have backward compatibility like the Xbox One? They all have Blops 2 to play now along with the other CODs they have already added.

Is the one thing the PS4 is really let down by.

Same here a modern setting would have been way more appreciated tbh, plenty to go on. As long as it's not futuristic garbage though owt is better. It's not defo confirmed though WW2 but we have already had WAW so why do another similar? Is it down to the success of BF1, although they have allegedly been developing this for 3 years, so I am expecting it to be brilliant, but it probably won't be.

Back conpat had many other advantages than just BO2 ;)

I think it the one thing Sony might have issues with. But yeah, I am no big COD fan but I do like Zombies, and BO2 had a couple of good levels. I've certainly fired it up to play with friends since it was available.
Great feature for me [emoji1303]

I'm sure it does to some. Not me. No real interest in it tbh.
I know your not chalks. You on to the next big thing and like new hardware / games. You've said before old games don't interest you. All good.

Me I do too, love shiny, but being able to play my old games now and then (BO2, DS, etc.) since XB started back conpat had been great. I don't go back that often but it's nice to be able and have the option [emoji4]

Just think it can't be dismissed cos of a particular game or personal preference. It's. A great feature for the consumer. As I say Sony might have issues here going forward.

I'm not dismissing it as a feature, it's great. Esp for those who like to go back.

I'm dismissing it purely on a personal level.

I tried world at war and despite the initial feeling of comfort it soon got old and I realised it was best left in the past. If it's a full remaster that's one thing but I thought WAW hadn't aged well.

Not sure to be worried by this or not, but this is from the marketing packing which has leaked from Reddit, this is what it says about multiplayer;

Call of Duty: WWII multiplayer engages players grounded, fast-paced combat across many of World War II’s most iconic locations. Players will also enjoy exciting new ways to interact and socialize with their friends and the Call of Duty community.

Out of all the things they could talk about the main thing they are advertising is the exciting new way to socialise with your friends? Seems odd. I personally was hoping to finally see destructible environments like Battlefield. About time COD caught up in terms of that happening. Makes the game feel a lot more real. Glad they say they listen to the community as pretty sure no one said they wanted more social options in the game

Just a heads up that the reveal is today at 5pm. Hope it is a proper reveal and not full of cutscenes ect.

Hope it's not like the tv adverts with "not actually game footage" why bother showing it then. We want to see game footage even if it's crap.

Finally! COD is back and looks better than ever. The trailer was awesome and if that was a Battlefield trailer it would be met huge hype, so hopefully the same will be for this.

That's more like it. Far better than the nonsensical futurist crap we've been served up for the last few years.

Looks a little like Destiny when he described that Headquarters part of multiplayer. We only seen a small bit of it but looked like lots of players walking around one area.

Actual in game footage, they obviously read my bloody post then. Be good to see some MP how that looks visually in comparison to that campaign trailer. Looks like it could be a welcome return to a proper COD game at last. I and many others hope it is and we can forget about any futuristic tripe for a good while.

They need to convince me about this.

COD has always been about picking it up and getting into a game very quickly. So not sure where this would actually fit in.
