    Long story short -

I never completed COD 2 on veteran all those years ago so decided to pick it up again. I bought a copy second hand (well probably 5th hand) and started to play through, i'm on the last mission (the one after hill 400) and the game won't load. It has the status bar for around 10 minutes and then gives me a crazy error.

My question is does anyone have a copy they can loan me so i can become a COD2 Vet?

    Please & thank you!

    Smaz.

If you can't rent it I'll lend it to you. We also have a game trades group (click my profile, its in my social groups) where you can swap games with members on a temp basis. Good way to ride out the credit crunch :D

I'll check Blockbuster out tonight but if they don't have it i'd appreciate a loan of your copy. I'll let you know, thanks!

Im also in the middle of doing this on veteran. Was put off before, going back a couple of years as i couldnt do it but after trying veteran on WAW ive picked this up again and im now finding it a doddle(relatively speaking).

Your health regens in half the time, your squad actually help you and the enemies dont perpetually respawn after being killed. Im looking at a full 1k gamerscore now.

Have you tried installing it to your hard drive, that sometimes works as I think the drive reads at a different speed when copying to the HD.

Has worked for me in the past anyway!

    --EDIT

Sorry - just noticed you got rid of it! Never mind!

I finished it at the weekend. Personally didnt think silo was too bad once you started making in roads and got past the 1st couple of buildings.

1 house down :( But......I have got into the house with the flags draped from the windows a couple of times and I firmly believe I can do it without too much hassle. I was attempting to do it in the evenings after work and I was too tired and impatient. I might fire it up now and see if I can get a couple more houses clear, at the very least get the flag house down and get a checkpoint.

That's how I used to do it. Get a checkpoint then leave it for a while to avoid going mad  (unless I was on a roll)

Once you get that house with the flags out of the way, it's quite easy to do the rest... It's just a complete pain how that one seems to make you go mad!!! lol.

Anyway, I guess you probably got it completed now already :p
