I've just bought a Toshiba SD - 520E DVD player and I want to connect it to my Toshiba 32ZP18Q tv, on a COAXIAL cable for sound only.
I need the OPTICAL lead for my PS2 as I use Component Video for the Picture.

What's the best brand lead to use £20 - £30?

    cheers

Bandrige are pretty good as QED and Ecosse Eichman are supposed to be Q good but expensive at £50 ish Most cables at your budget should be fine try lektropacks or hifi cables for a good deal.

Any 75Ohm coaxial cable.. VDC do some good cables- something like £7 for a single 1M length, and about £10 for a single 3M length. Looks the same stuff as QED at £25+

    Thanks guys for your help.

I went to Sevenoaks Sound and Vision today and bought an IXOS
    105 lead at £29.95.
I've not really put the system through it's paces yet.
    I also bought a IXOS XHT601 Scart lead for £32 from £39.95.

I got into a heated discussion with a sales assistant who told me they don't stock Profigold leads,(when there was one behind him on a hook), I asked for a 782 scart lead like one I purchased there
    a few months ago.
So the manager stepped in sent the sales assistant off red faced and gave me the IXOS for £32.

    Cheers
    Rich tee.
