Coaxial cable

I'm trying to connect up a 3d Tv, 3d blu ray player and Yamaha Av amp... The amp doesn't pass thru! So connecting the blu ray to Tv is ok, then run a coaxial from blu ray to amp... And everything works... But doing this I carnt pick up master audio DTS? Is this because off the coaxial cable? Thanks

Yes - S/Pdif only supports up to DTS surround. DTS Master Audio requires a hdmi cable.

Looks like I'm going to invest in a new Av receiver

If your AVR includes multi-channel analogue Inputs the other option is a BD Player with multi-channel analogue out.
