Ok, silly question time. I have a JVC XV-N55 DVD Player sonnected to a Harman Kardon AVR 4500 Receiver via a digital co-axial cable. The JVC only has 1 co-axial out and 1 optical out. The Harman has 2 co-axial ins and 2 optical ins. The JVC is connected into Video 1 on the Harman, and the Harman input is selected to Video 1, but I have no sound. Is it necessary to set the DVD Player up to tell it to output 5.1 via the co-axial output instead of the optical, or do these machines chuck audio out of both simultaneously? I cannot find an option for this in the JVC's menu. Any ides?
