Answered CM10S2 with B&W M1

hi all,

I really like the look of the B&W CM10S2.

I currently have the B&W m1 surround sound system.

I am wanting to replace the FL and FR with the CM10S2.

Any ideas if this will be a complete mismatch ?

The Amp is a Yamaha AX3030 for reference.

I would change the centre to a cm one as well so that the front 3 are matching.

I am not too worried about the model number matching , just if the sound will be affected.

I am aware of this, hence me asking if the m1 will be adequate for the cm10s2.

I use the cm10's with the matching CMCS2 and m1 rears, very happy but need a new sub. The XXLS400 is great value but not quite big enough to match the rest of system.

Looks like I best save a little more then ! :)

Quite a few people use the M1 satellites as rear and effect speakers for 600 Series and CM Series, as there's nothing else for those ranges that are discreet, other than some in-wall/in-ceiling options. As long as they're set up correctly (set to small, crossover point 80-100Hz or higher), then they'll work fine.

The centre speaker is the most important speaker in the system though, and as mentioned, one of the matching centres should really be used if going for CM10s.
