Im looking at buying the pw7 42 " from 123electricals

    the actual package is

    th42pw7b £1293.94 (inc free delivery)
this comes with 1 year manufacturer warranty(is that enough)
i was also going to pay the extra £200 for the stand ( could have the wall bracket instead) and the tuner.

the reason for my post is i need to make sure that this tv is very capable of watching football ,watching dvds and playing my ps2 on it , i will also be connecting it by ntl digital (soon sky+)

do i need to buy the tuner box or is there a better cheap way

    finally is this tv futureproof?

I need a very urgent answer (as i think the missis might change her mind about letting me use her car fund he he  )

    Thanks for all your help

the extra £200 for the tuner and bracket is a good price and the cheapest. not the best for picture quality the tuner ,but seems like a good deal.as far as the pw7 is concerned you cant go wrong there, one of the best.

you will probably want to upgrade from the tuner quite quickly and buy terminal boards for direct connection of your kit to the panel and if you have an amp you can route via that to reduce connections. It is not future proof if you mean is is sky hdtv but personally i don't see that as an issue as it will be years before the content will be worth worrying about. It is a very good screen but ideally you should try and see one if you can.......even though i didn't and am very happy with it.
