Clio Update CD to Ipod connection Problem

I have just bought a second hand Update cd player for my X Reg clio.
My last unit was a tuner list model which burnt out.
What i am attempting to do is connect the cd unit up so i can use my I-Pod.
Am i right in thinking that i can connect wires 10,11,12 on the C2 Aux connection on the cd to a 3.5" Stereo Chassis Socket on my dash.?
This will hopefully enable me to tune the cd into Aux and plug in my ipod - Will this work anyone think?
Thanks

I havent got a c2 box.
What i was refering to was the C2 connection on the back of the cd unit connecting the C2 output to an i-pod .
Is the update list model a straight swop? I have heared that there may be a problem with the display and stalk control. Would this just be maybe a question of changing the wiring around.
The other alternative is to fit an aftermarket unit any ideas as i really wanted to keep it original

For aux, the update list you just need to plug in the wire.

Display and stalk should work just fine.

Does anyone have a similar problem with the original Clio Tuner List unit getting extremely hot on the left hand side (I mean almost glowing!) and causing a big battery drain even when off.
