Same as in the ad where I bought it from:
For Sale - Clevo W740su Laptop i7/8GB/2TB HD

Only the HDD is 1TB instead of 2TB(keeping this one as I have data on it), it now has fresh Ubuntu installed same as it came to me when I bought it off the forum.

Take in mind the built-in speakers on this are not great and the volume is fairly low. The quality through headphones is perfect though.

    £260 collected in London

    Price and currency: 250
Delivery: Goods must be exchanged in person
    Payment method: BT
    Location: Harrow/London
    Advertised elsewhere?: Not advertised elsewhere
Prefer goods collected?: I prefer the goods to be collected

Indeed it is a great little machine, very good screen too and if you read the notebookcheck review you will see it is well worth it, I got myself a gaming 17" Clevo and can't keep both.

    Hi

I realize this is the total opposite of having it collected in London, but I might be willing to pay significantly more than your asking price if you'd be willing to ship it internationally to Budapest. Say 350 GBP (plus shipping). I have been looking for this laptop all over, and this is the only place I've found it for sale on the entire internet. (Literally... do a google or ebay search.)

    I have two questions:

    * What technology is the screen? Is it IPS (or AHVA, as in the notebookcheck review of the Schenker version)?

    * What are the keyboard and touchpad like? I have read very bad things about some versions of the W740su, e.g. here: [AMA] System76 Galago Ultrapro / Clevo w740su • /r/laptopama, but I've also read that different/later versions were significantly improved.

(I'm only interested if the screen is IPS/AHVA and the keyboard and touchpad are non-horrible.)

I recognize that coming in as a first-time poster and asking to ship an item overseas might seem a little bit suspicious, and I'm ready to do whatever you need to put you at ease that this is for real and I'm not interested in taking advantage of anyone. (There is some positive feedback on my ebay profile for example, which I just edited to make it clear that it belongs to me.)

Hello, thank you for the interest, the screen is IPS and it is quite good, as for the keyboard it is quite nice from my point of view and I do a a bit of coding and writing on it. Though I prefer to have it collected in London.

Oh well. I certainly respect that. If anyone wants to make an easy 75 pounds they can buy it from you in London for 275 and sell it to me for 350... :)

Good morning. I've been looking for a laptop to do uni readings - this is decent. Can collect from London for £250 when it suits you. Budget is a bit low, and it costs 20-30 quid for a return to train ticket.

(no need to prepare the machine I'll just bring a Win USB & quickly wipe it on collection)

For some reason I didn't get a notification for this one. Where are you coming from exactly as if you are N or NW we might meet in person instead somewhere that you won't have to spend £30 for the train

Got a bunch of reading over the weekend so wouldn't mind a train journey to London. Let me know.

The only thing is that I would like to get the asking, as it is a great bang for the buck

I appreciate that - no chance of including the 2TB at the asking price?

I have to keep it for the sake of my personal data on it, rather than the size

If it was Monday when your friends are coming around I would have done it with pleasure, though during the weekend I live rather far from Central London

Hello mate, as you've had this up for a while would you consider an offer of £200 based on the fact you bought for £305 almost a year ago and it's been downgraded to a 1TB HD from a 2TB SSHD?

Thank you for the interest, and the reasoning though I will stick to my asking price, the laptop is worth the money and it will be hard to get similar specs for the same amount anywhere else

Good Afternoon, are you still wanting this to be collected or would the option to send a courier for pickup be considered

That sounds like a plan though I was looking for something closer to my asking and if we agree we can surely meet even tonight or tomorrow during the day, I am recovering from small surgery so won't be able to do much besides handing it over to you.
