I know of a couple of manufacturers that make clear speakers... but they don't look like them...

They look quite 'home made' if i'm honest!

:rotfl: at myself for landing here as I'm watching the same episode and decided that I too wanted one of those.

Yes that one definitely looks hand made but I'm sure I've seen some high end speakers produced a few years back in similar housing.

Any one know who made them ?

I know Celestion used to make a clear speaker. Used to be able to get them in Richer Sounds.

These are open baffle speakers, usually referred to as OB. Meaning that they are just a front, no sides or back, hence open baffle.

Likely they are home made, and likely, since they are sitting in the corner, the corner is actually part of the speakers. In a sense, using that corner as apart of the speakers, we have a rear loaded horn.

Unfortunately, the image isn't clear enough to identify any of the components.

There are certainly some peculiarly Clear Speakers that might fulfill any craving for transparent oddness that you might have :D how abut these ...

    LinkNotes: Transparent Speakers

" From a cool chic factor point of view these speakers are the absolute business, you’ll need a fair amount of space to accommodate them to full affect, but if you can afford them I don’t think space is going to be a problem. The full set of 2 1.65 metres floor standing speakers, 2 required sub base units and amplifier have a street price of just under 15,000 sterling (that’s about 26,500 USD) which though costing more than a decent car will give your next party something talk about as well as listen to. " The speaker's concept is the vision of Crystal Cable president Gabi van der Kley. Her mandate for all Crystal Cable products is that they be technically proficient, musically satisfying, and visually pleasing. "

And Very, Very Expensive I dare say.
