Clear cache and data from iPlayer???

This is driving me nuts. How do I clear the cache and data from iPlayer? The TV is a KD-49X4305C.

When I have a VPN connected on my router I can't use iPlayer any more. I'm not trying to circumvent any restrictions, I live in the UK and have a TV license but the VPN seems to stop the player.

When I tried on my phone (one the same VPN protected network) once I cleared the cache and data from the app it worked fine. I'm struggling to do that on the tv. I can't find the iPlayer app in settings but I've tried clearing the data from the youview and sonyselect apps but I don't think that has done it. Once I restart the TV and open iPlayer it already knows my username and I don't have to log in so it must still have some data stored somewhere. But where?????

I have a minimx android media box. Can't use the iplayer app with torguard VPN so I disconnect torguard and then iplayer works fine. No cache clearing involved.

Hmm, yes this seems odd. I tried iplayer on my phone after clearing cache and it worked fine so I figured that must be the solution. However I just did a factory reset on a firestick and it didn't make any difference. So is there no way to use iplayer with a VPN on Bravia or firestick?

BBC iPlayer does try and ban VPN IPs even if those IPs are in the UK. I rarely use iPlayer on my minimx so I just disconnect the VPN while watching the video, but if I did want to use it through Torguard I'd ask for an unblocked IP:

Maybe your VPN company can do the same?
