Aargh, one of my little boys planted a delightful handprint on my screen - its a sweet momento, but as I already have his handprint in a ceramic cast, I can live without it on my tv. The Philips guide talks about a chamois or something similar (but no spray cleaners etc), but there's a bit more grime in my kid's fingerprints than a chamois can deal with.

    Any ideas for safe cleaning?

A soft cloth very lightly damped with water. I use the light blue e-cloths with enough water to soften the cloth - screen is perfectly clean afterwards with no streaks or anything. I certainly would not use anything with chemicals on it.

    Try a thick micro-fibre cloth!
Use dry for dust, and damp (well wrung!) for greasy marks. Just dampen one corner of the cloth so you can wipe after with dry cloth.

For small greasy marks breath on the mark and use dry cloth before moisture evaporates.

I use micro-fibre all the time for specs, monitors and TV. Seems they have some kind of electrostatic-related action!
