    Hi all

Might sound like a stupid question, but I've never needed to clean the screen on my plasma before. Trouble is, I've just had to take it off the wall due to builders in, it's gone back up but has fingerprints on it. What do people use (and what's safe!) to clean the screen with?

Advice would be appreciated, as I don't want to smear or make the marks worse!

    cheers
    Matt

All I've ever cleaned my Panny PW5 with over the last 4+ years is a bit of kitchen roll, wetted and rung/squeezed out so just damp.

Works for me. I also clean CRT/TFT PC monitors this way.

Wouldn't let any chemicals or 'special cleaning wipes' near any of my screens.

If the fingerprints are greasy I guess this may not work.

Wait for others opinions before trying my method :)

There is some smear you never can get rid of on Panasonic screens.

What you want are 2 micro fibre cloths ( 99p @ Asda ), Then wet one of them and wring it out until nearly dry, use this to clean the screen and then dry with the other cloth, Ive done this on my plasma for a year about once every two months and it looks like new. If you do a search in the plasma section you will see this is the proscribed method  ps At a certain angle some panasonic models do have what appears to be a greasy coating on the screen to protect them :smashin:
