Have a look at this news story http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/northern_ireland/6958243.stm
Then have a look at the interview with the owner http://www.bbc.co.uk/northernireland/nolan/catchuptv/40.shtml
The guy clearly states (a couple of times) he was driving on "trade plates". I know for a fact that he was parked outside a gym and trade plates only allow you to move a car from one place to another for the purpose of selling, or for test-driving. Using them for personal purposes is against the law and you are not allowed to park on a public highway when using them. I listened to him on the Nolan show this morning, and he categorically stated he was not driving on trade plates, he was driving on his own personalised plates.
He was caught bang to rights and he reckons he should have been let off. Not one caller on the show had any sympathy for him. What a clampett.
Just for kicks, here is a close-up of the car. Look at the number plate. He obviously has a license to talk crap.
