I'm having trouble getting Cineplayer 4.0 under W98SE to do DD5.1 through the analogue ports of my mobo - ASUS P4B533V - C-Media chip.

The mixer is set to 6 channels, the faders are all up, and the C-Media multi-channel audio demo works fine.

However, with Cineplayer, I get no output on the centre speaker, and dialogue seems to be in all the other channels.

The only audio options Cineplayer seems to have are "stereo" or "dolby surround compatible" I've tried both, to no avail.

I feel like I'm missing something obvious here :) does Cineplayer do DD5.1 ?

In due course I plan to get a decent a/v amp and connect using spdif, but for now it would be really useful if I could get 5.1 working using the mobo and my existing (non spdif) amp.

    Any ideas anyone ?

    thanks

    Paul.
