    Following is the press release from cinemateq about its new HDTV switcher kit…

    "With the HDTV Switcher Kit, cinemateq comes up with a future-proof function extension for the Picture Optimizer Plus II (SDI). The HDTV Switcher Kit is designed for use in home cinemas, to run, say, an HDTV-Receiver and a Picture Optimizer Plus II (SDI) with only one cable connection to a high-resolution display.

    With this solution the display is automatically, after a single session of programming, always provided with the best possible signal via DVI or HDMI – regardless of whether it comes from an HDTV- or an optimized PAL-picture - by the picture optimizer plus II (SDI).

    The HDTV Switcher Kit supports resolutions up to HDTV 1080p or UXGA, is fully HDCP compliant and consists of:
    * cinemateq HDMI 2:1 Switcher
    * cinemateq remote cable ‘ppII’
    * HDMI / DVI cable (1m)
    * two adapters DVI / HDMI.

    The recommended street price for the cinemateq HDTV Switcher Kit in Germany is 569 Euros.
