Cinema room build, panels resonate

Hi,

My cinema room has a false wall and soffits, built using MRMDF panels on studs and frames.

My problem is that at certain frequencies some of these panels resonate and its driving me mad trying to get rid of the issue.

Can anyone recommend a simple frequency/tone generator that I can use to sweep through the low frequencies so I can pin point which of my panels is resonating..?

Hope that make sense.

cheers

You can generate particular frequencies with REW.

Thanks. I'll give REW a try. I might also have a crack at understanding how to use REW properly to calibrate the room acoustics..!

I've also downloaded a frequency generator app for my phone, so hopefully that can drive the receiver (via Bluetooth) and will help.

cheers

simon
