I have enjoyed reading these threads for a while so thought I would contribute my own. We are in the process of extending the house so that we have another reception room going into the Garden. The idea is that it doubles as a cinema room and garden room. So bright and open in the summer and snug in the winter.

I am not doing much of the work myself as I am useless at DIY and frankly not that bothered about it either. We have planning permission and the builders have been at it now for about a month and are making great progress.

    Here are some images.

It will have bifold doors all along one wall and a window in another.

    The all important AV equipment
Amp - Sony STR DN 1050
    Speakers - Focal Dome 5.1
    Projector - Benq W1070+
Sources - SkyHD, Xbox One, Chromecast, Fire Stick

More pics to follow as the work progresses. They should be done in another 3 weeks or so. We will then have a pause before we furnish as we want to use the space to empty another room to decorate that.

Will follow this thread . In the meantime what's Focal Dome like? I'm afraid I didn't find a review on this forum, but that could just be me typing Focal dome on the search bar and expecting it to know what I meant.

Some more pictures below. The room has been plastered and some of the second fit electrics are in but the work has slowed a little as we are waiting for the bi-folds. These are due next week.

In answer to avinz. I haven't done anything with the speakers other than a quick test. They certainly feel solid and well made. The sub is quite a sight and I won't be hiding it away.

    Anyway. Pictures

All finished. Very pleased with it. The Focal Domes took a bit of setting up and bedding in but now sound excellent.
