I thought that some of you may like to see these.
Very nice, not sure of the price of them but heres something similar from IKEA, look very nice!!!
i have seen these in ikea.
And sat in them and i was very tempted to buy two.
very comfy chiar for under £100 dabloons.
those chairs look great and really comfortable, a much worthy alternative to overpriced 'professional' cinema chairs!
does anyone know how much the cinema chiars are
I have had one of the Ikea chairs and they are not very comfy after an hour or so. They put pressure on the base of your spine.
I have tried quite a few in that style and ended up with some at £500 each, you can sit in them for 8 hours and have woken up on more than one occasion in the morning after falling asleep while watching tv.
I beleive that when it comes to somthing you spend so much time on/in you should get the best you can.
Those chairs look great and not outrageously expensive at £500 each. Where can I get them from?
I can have a look tonight and see what make they are.
They put all the sofas I tried to shame, and probably the best purchase I have made for the loft conversion.
I forgot to say your loft looks
Homebase near me (Loughton) have a deal at the moment on black leather La-ze-boy type armchairs
If I wasn't buying stupid amounts of acoustic treatment materials at the moment I'd be down there like a shot!
omg i would be down there in a **** as well...if only i had any money left over what-so-ever!
But payday in a few weeks so hopefully will get two of thos Ikea chairs, they look real comfy for the price, but if i had 1 grand to spen i would definately get Gizlarocs chairs!!!they look heaven to watch a film in!!!
Tried out the Ikea chairs today, they are comfy but the lack of 'arms' to lean on tend to put more weight on your lower back as gizlaroc stated. However for those on a budget like me ( yeh I would luv those £500 seats as well!) I spotted these.
I gave them a test drive and found them much more comfy than the Ikea seat and you also get the footstool in with the price!
very very nice Dipman, cheers!!!!looks like those will be my new chairs, but on the other hand i might just go for one nice n comfy chait for me and some sh*tty ones for my friends, hehe, just the thought of me working all those hours for their comfort...its stupid if you think about it!
hmmm but the only problem is that they do not offer delivery, since i can't drive, for obvious reasons, i doubt i will be able to make it too Croydon and back
I will be going to the head office over the next few days to get my seats, I'll enquire re delivery and post it here.
I would think for a sale they may deliver.
Where do you live fred and I will ask on your behalf?
They are very nice but how are we going to buy them in the UK?
Well it does say on the site that they are available in the UK
(under the retailers link)
Easy enough to drop them an email to find out who retails their products in the UK
I live in Cobham, Surrey, i really hope they do deliver as i have very little time to trek it down to Croydon
DOH! indeed, my bad
Fred, still not made it for my seats yet, been on nightshift, will update you at the weekend.
alright cheers Dipman,
no hurry atm, completely skimped as it is, but in a few weeks should be interested in them, thanks for the update though mate
Gizlaroc - did you ever find out who the manufacturer of your chairs were?? They do look very confy and I like the style of the bases.
Focus (was Great Mills) have some half decent leather chairs on offer at the moment only £99 including foot stool. I bought a couple for my room and they are pretty good for the money, same sort of style as those on gizlaroc's post, but only in black or chocolate. I can take a picture if anyone is interested.
completely forget to look, everytime I see this thread i am at work, then by the time I get back home I have forgotten.
will write it on my hand now so will post this evening
mixmanx-do you have a link for this?
Not online I'm afraid, it's one of those 'when it's gone it's gone' things. Their website is www.focusdiy.co.uk which does have a store locator if that's any good.
DP Express do deliver, contact your nearest store and they will deliver up to 25 miles radius for £15-00, not bad I suppose!
Ok thanks a lot dipman,
I would have but over the past 2 days i have decided to upgrade my sytem to seperates and get new speakers i am pretty damn skimped!
maybe in a few months!
Had an email back from :-
"The cinema seating is being launched at the NEC furniture shown between the 18th - 21st January. At the present moment there is no where for you to see this product. Please send us your location and contact details so we may contact you later when the cinema seating is in your area."
I'm still waiting!
