those chairs look great and really comfortable, a much worthy alternative to overpriced 'professional' cinema chairs!

I have had one of the Ikea chairs and they are not very comfy after an hour or so. They put pressure on the base of your spine.

I have tried quite a few in that style and ended up with some at £500 each, you can sit in them for 8 hours and have woken up on more than one occasion in the morning after falling asleep while watching tv.

I beleive that when it comes to somthing you spend so much time on/in you should get the best you can.

    Gizlaroc,

Those chairs look great and not outrageously expensive at £500 each. Where can I get them from?

I can have a look tonight and see what make they are.
They put all the sofas I tried to shame, and probably the best purchase I have made for the loft conversion.

Homebase near me (Loughton) have a deal at the moment on black leather La-ze-boy type armchairs

    £250!!...

If I wasn't buying stupid amounts of acoustic treatment materials at the moment I'd be down there like a shot!

Tried out the Ikea chairs today, they are comfy but the lack of 'arms' to lean on tend to put more weight on your lower back as gizlaroc stated. However for those on a budget like me ( yeh I would luv those £500 seats as well!) I spotted these.
    http://www.durhampine.co.uk/products/product.cfm?pd=6197&kw=4&st=1&se=1

I gave them a test drive and found them much more comfy than the Ikea seat and you also get the footstool in with the price!

I will be going to the head office over the next few days to get my seats, I'll enquire re delivery and post it here.
I would think for a sale they may deliver.
Where do you live fred and I will ask on your behalf?

Well it does say on the site that they are available in the UK
    (under the retailers link)

Easy enough to drop them an email to find out who retails their products in the UK:)

Focus (was Great Mills) have some half decent leather chairs on offer at the moment only £99 including foot stool. I bought a couple for my room and they are pretty good for the money, same sort of style as those on gizlaroc's post, but only in black or chocolate. I can take a picture if anyone is interested.

Not online I'm afraid, it's one of those 'when it's gone it's gone' things. Their website is www.focusdiy.co.uk which does have a store locator if that's any good.

    Fred,
DP Express do deliver, contact your nearest store and they will deliver up to 25 miles radius for £15-00, not bad I suppose!

    http://www.mobelteam.se/eng/index.htm

"The cinema seating is being launched at the NEC furniture shown between the 18th - 21st January. At the present moment there is no where for you to see this product. Please send us your location and contact details so we may contact you later when the cinema seating is in your area."
