Anyone use this codec?, apparently it will allow you to do realtime HD capture using at single 7200RPM HD with no dropped frames, so capturing at 720P uncompressed has a bitrate or 165mb/s so woul need 3-4 Hard drives in Raid 0, but using Cinemform HD Codec you only need a single Hard Drive and you get no Loss in Quality..

May Ending up getting a Decklink Intensity Pro for some 720P capturing as I won't need a tripple disk Raid Array, well if the Cineform codec does it says..

I have used the version of this codec which is included in Vegas. It's the same codec technology, but with the Vegas version you can't connect to it directly, you need to purchase cineform HD (or now it seems these Neo products).

From my experience with the codec, it is excellent, virtually lossless. Easy to edit.

I've used it the Vegas Plug in too.. Excellent:thumbsup:
Although it does add one step to the workflow the results are very good and it enables the use of a modest Spec PC
The ones on the website cost a pretty penny though:eek:
Also I'm not exactly going to go back to Adobe Premiere..
