That's a bit wierd playing this so large (screen size) but play's just like i remember , damn frustratingly
Its the bbc version as well, man the hours i lost on this game when i was younger. I used to always listen to the Rock 4 sound track when playing this.
Lol, nice game eheh...remembering the old times
Remember playing this back in primary school on those old BBC microcomputers with those 5.25in disks and their soft plastic covers . This along with Heist and Tanks. About the only things those old machines were good for.
lol I feel old just being able to remember.
I have to disagree. The BBC had the best conversions of at the time arcade machines.
It also had the best version of Elite and Repton too was a classic.
I had totally forgotten about Repton, used to really like that game. With Repron and Chuckie Egg i did lose serious hours
Remember this map below?
Wasn't there a Chuckie Egg II as well?
Grrrrrr dam you Garrett!
You have brought back painful memories of being stuck for hours trying to figure out those dam repton maps
Just the line of rocks at the bottom gives me the shivers I remember that puzzle all too well.
Nice little site for beeb games, even has links to superior softwares site where you can get the games like Repton for the PC.
The only game I can't see on there was Magic Mushrooms, that game used to rock. It does have Dare Devil Dennis though, which I had completely forgot about!
Disagree on Elite, the best version was on the Archimedes, truely gorgeous graphics and really nice AI on the ships and police.
Spotted the rock when I was posting it. You had to clear the ground to let the rock fall in the gap and go to the next square then when it fel walk back and you got to the diamonds above.
Never had a Archimedes had a BBC model B, the next version was a Amiga and PC both nether as good as the BBC version.
