CHT-10 & Sony 1070 - Help needed

Just received my CHT-10 from Uncle Eric - Thanks Eric!

I have a single RCA-RCA cable going from the Amp (Sub out) to the Left channel in on the Sub. It is paired with Tannoy M3s (Frequency Response 35Hz - 20kHz +/- 3dB)

Have some questions about how to set it up correctly :

- Is it a problem that I've got a Single RCA going from Sub-out to one of the input channels on the Sub?
- The default cross-over on the Amp is 120 Hz - what should I lower this to?
- What is the best way to set the volume on the sub?

Thanks in advance for any help!

1) No problem with only one sub lead (most have only one)
2) Try 80Hz and even lower if your amp allows this.
3) I've never had much luck with SPL metres on subs so I set it up by ear. Turn up the sub volume until you can just hear it then turn it down a bit. It will probably still be a bit loud so it may have to be turned down a fraction again. It's OK when you can't hear it but it blends in perfectly

Thanks Ian

The Issue for No. 1 - is that it is single RCA from the Amp only into the Left (nothing into the right) input - hope that isn't an issue
