With a heavy heart I've decided to sell my amazing portable rig simply because its just not getting as much use as I'd hoped.

The Mojo was bought off these forums 4/5 months back and is in the same condition as when i bought it, immaculate. Nothing wrong with it at all and will come boxed etc.

The SE846's were acquired brand new around the same time and are in as new condition, boxed and with all accessories. These are the version with the extra bluetooth cable in the box so you can use them wired or wireless. I don't have a receipt for these as they were bought through work but I believe I have a dispatch note from Shure. Rest assured they are 100% genuine.

Assume no warranty as the Shure warranty isn't transferrable and the Mojo is over 1 year old.

Asking price for the Mojo is £225 and the Shure's £450

    Photos to follow...

    Price and currency: £225 & £450
Delivery: Delivery cost is included within my country
    Payment method: BT
    Location: Cirencester
    Advertised elsewhere?: Not advertised elsewhere
Prefer goods collected?: I have no preference

    • Name and address including postcode
    • Valid e-mail address

I’d like to make an offer on the Shure but it’s based on them likely having no warranty so please don’t be offended.

    I’ll offer £375.

    Hi

No offence taken! Unfortunately the offer is too low I’m afraid. Would need to be closer asking.

As I’m sure you’re aware, Shure warranties aren’t transferable so no second hand Shure sales will have a warranty.

    Hi
The reason I offered low is because if you had a receipt from an authorised retailer it would mean you could offer to sort any warranty issues but as you haven't it makes it a bit of a riskier and potentially expensive purchase should they need any kind of repair.

£400 would be my maximum offer.

I'd be prepared to meet you half way at £425 but that would be the lowest I'd go on them I'm afraid.

You won't be disappointed with the extra £25 once you've plugged these puppies into your ears!

I know McCol has been after some for a while now, but if he doesn't want them at £425 I'll take them at £425.

I already have a pair so would be buying these as another set for use with my balanced cable, hence the reason I'd like to wait for McCol to have first refusal at your new offer price.

Would like to offer £420 for the Shure's. Or £620 for the pair of items (if it includes required cables for an iphone). And I've been outbid already! Up to £430 then for the Shures.

I'm out after that as don't want to get into a bidding war!

Update - And such is the activity that I didn't even see the reply where it was offered at £425. Sorry, hadn't tried to bid over the asking.

    Cheers mate.
Was going to pass on them initially as I’ve just had impressions done this morning for a wee foray into customs land but couldn’t resist these, always been keen to try the 846. Used to love the silky smooth mids if the 535

The 535 is "crap" by comparison. A also had the 530 & 535. If the 846's aren't for you, drop me a PM in near future.

Thanks to both parties for a quick and easy sale.

What customs are you going for @McCol ? I bought some UE 18+ pro last year. Really happy with them, also had a listen to the JH Audio range, also impressive. I'd never go back to universal's now, the comfort and isolation are top notch. Might even sell my headphones too as they aren't getting much of a look in!

Sorry for being off topic @dm2583 was hoping you wouldn't mind as both sales are agreed.

Going to give the Custom Art Fibae 4 a punt, apparently a new way of using drivers and their previous models have a good rep over at head-fi. Special pre-order price enticed me in!
I had some customs years ago from Minerva which were ok but soundwise nothing special, put me off until now.

    Edit
Just tried my old Minerva MI-3 after being in a box for years. They sound better than I remember, triple drivers and pretty neutral sound with a wee emphasis on the mids.
    Pleasantly surprised!

Always liked the look of the UE range of customs, might be a route I take in the future, how are yours in comparison to universals you’ve owned in the past?

I've only only a few pairs of universals, the best being the IE800's (as you know:D). I've never been totally happy with them as I didn't like the feeling of them in my ears but the custom fit is so good I forget they are in and can just concentrate on the music.

The UE 18+ are far more neutral than the Senn's, but not as flat sounding as the UERR. I was really impressed by the JH Audio Roxanne, they sounded great but the mids were way more forward than I was used to when I auditioned them so stayed with UE. I have thought about them since though, I think my brain could definitely get used to them, so might jump in for a pair later on.
