I'm planning to buy a stereo hifi setup in April. I'm pretty sold on the Teac Mini seperates, namely the Reference 300 series. I want to use it for CD/music stereo, as well as stereo for my games/DVDs.

    Teac Reference 300 series info:

However, I also know that I will be upgrading to a 5.1 setup sometime within the next year or two.

At the moment I'm looking at a system something like this:

That's the Teac AG-H350 DTS and Dolby Digital Surround A/V Receiver, with the PD-H303 3-CD CHANGER

What do you guys reckon? Before you ask, no I'm not willing to go for full size separates. I'm not going to be able to set up a full 5.1 speaker initially, so for now I will probably go for a pair of Tannoy MX2 speakers (unless anyone has some good alternative suggestions).

So what do you think? I'd appreciate your input. ^_^

Ah, thanks for the heads up about Richer's sale.

I'm now contemplating picking up this: http://www.richersounds.co.uk/index.php?f=itemdetl.php&p=205924

It's the 5.1 receiver I like, bundled with the matching DVD player. I probably wouldn't use it as a DVD player initially, but rather as a CD player (and mp3 cd), but this is really cheap and would satisfy most of my needs. I could easily buy an additional triple-CD later on if I felt the need.

    What do you think?

I'm going to head into Richer tomorrow morning, take a look :)
