Hi, I am looking for a 32" LCD TV for a budget of no more than £500. I have read a few reviews on different TVs & am unsure of which one to buy. Please could someone tell me which TVs give best value & performance for money?

    Many thanks.
    Matthew.

Im tempted by the Samsung LE32M87BDX. Has good reviews and is reasonably priced.

There is two models of this TV one is LE32M87BDX and the other is LE32R87BDX, just posted a message asking what the difference is!

I can't comment on the Samsung -but a link was posted here so I'm sure you'll get some good info there.

I have one of the 46inch Samsungs, it's my first Samsung and I have no problems with it.

A few months ago I bought a 32inch Sharp for the bedroom - I wasn't impressed with the picture when I unpacked it, but once I had changed the settings to meet my personal taste I was immediately satisfied. We have a dvd player connected via HDMI and an XBOX via component. We use the built in freeview tuner to watch TV. The picture is great and we only have a small aerial connected.

The only 2 things I would have liked to see improved:

1.) that the TV outputs 5 volts for the powered aerial - would have saved an extra power plug - but this is a feature that stand alone freeview receivers usually only have

2.) The inputs on the inputs menu would be named more accurate - i.e. instead of EXT 5 & 6 that HDMI1 & 2 be assigned. Something you can rename yourself though on the bigger Sharp models.

I just checked Dixons quick (example only) and they have the TV for 449GBP.

    Good luck )

    Thanks for that.

Does anyone have any thoughts on Toshiba? Have been looking at the 32C3035. Have read some good reviews but obviously would be good to hear from someone who's actually had one?

    Cheers.
    Matt.

I have just (today) bought the Toshiba 32C3035 from Digital Direct.
It's gone down to £399 now.

I've seen it working in my local store and it's got a beautiful picture. Nice and soft image, and it looks good too.

Will let you know what it's like when it arrives. (3-5 w/days).
