Cholesterol Results

Distinguished Member
Just had my first ever cholesterol results but would appreciate some interpretation as I'm not going back to the doctors for some time and am nothing more than curious. The sheet states these are normal so just intrigued

The test states:

Serum TSH 2.1
Serum lipids 4.1
Serum HDL 1.18
Serum cholesterol/HDL ratio 3.5

The latest thinking is something along the lines of calcium ion receptors in the blood vessels may play a more important role than cholesterol.
But if the sheet states normal, then file them away and don't give them another thought.

I'm not a worrier re health issues, far to many to pick from. :rotfl:

More an interest to understand.

everything is fine
although serum lipids is borderline high
everything else is in the right range
