Morning all
I currently have a 9:1:2 Jamo 102 system (it's 2 5:1 systems really except using one center !)
With a Denon 4300 amp

I recently got a couple of bargain buys ...

a Q acoustics 7000i 5.1 set (old style with single speaker in the sub) new old stock I think [emoji106]

Anthony Gallo nucleus ti x5 (all the same)

So ....... I'm puzzled ...
Do I leave the Jamo set as is ...? With 2 subs?
Replace with 5:1 7000i from Q acoustics
Or set up the 5 Gallos and one sub ?
OR a combination of the above ??

Room size is approx 6m x 4m
I have cables hidden in wall conduit for the top 4 corners of the room
I also have cables box routed around the skirting for the rear surrounds

So ..... which speakers should I use?
What layout would be best?

I may use whatever's left in the boys playroom with the PS4 and old Sony 2400 amp

Hi dln1965
I'll be going the atmos route soon and have some spare jamo 102s. How do you find them as overhead speakers- decent enough sound for atmos effects?

The 102s I have, are matched to all other 102s in my set up So as I have nothing to compare to ... they seem quite good to me !

However the sound test with the 7000i seemed better .....
Depending what layout I end up with ..... the 102s may be relegated ....

Let's see what opinions are out there and what sounds best [emoji106]

I think the Gallos are the best speakers you have from all the ones you have bought. The Denon deserves much better speakers than your current Jamo (and even the QAs) to get the best from it. Sound preference is a very personal thing so the best option would be to try the 2 new options you have, since you have bought them both, and then pick the one that sounds best to you.
