These forum are great, and I've spent hours reading various strands the problem is I'm a technophob with high aspirations for a plasma.
My choice is down to the Hitachi 500e or the 5000 ( they are about the same price). and from what I can tel they are the same models near as damn it, but I have no idea about connectivity. Everthing at the moment is connected via a scart, or the yellow/red/white input things (see I really am ignorant!).
I have a DVD, video, Ps2, and sky box, and would like to connect all these up some how. (I can buy speakers and stand, I understand those). I'm even happy to buy an AV receiver (looking at Yamaha htr5640 from RS),but will this solve my problem? Is this the best way to go? are there some differences between the 500/5000 that will make my life easier.
