    Decisions, decisions.

Ex Dem B&W Speakers my nice bank are considering giving me a loan !!

Well if they say yes, I cannot decide what front speakers ex demo 805s or 9NTs ARRRGH decision, decision.

Both sound good will be paired with an Arcam A22.

Will be used for movies n music. I know the 9NTs go a bit lower for music, but any opinions would be appreciated.

    Cheers

    Steff

I demoed both and ended up with the 805s. They were just much more transparent. The 9NT sounded veiled. TBH I'd try to stretch to a pair of ex-dem 804s as they are far superior and I don't believe that the amplification would cost any more cos they are both current hungry beasts.

Beyond that there's clearly a trade-off between speed, weight and imaging. The 805s are lightning fast with great imaging whereas the 9NT are much weightier.

    Regards,

    Jules.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention - if you go for the 805s then that would push up the costs of matching centre and rear speakers (if that was an objective).

    Regards,

    Jules.

I'd go for the 9NT, but I'm judging that based on the 703 and 805, I've never heard the 9NT.
