what the heck is that supposed to mean? lol

anyway, there's loads you need to do, installer09. To be honest, you should have researched all of this BEFORE you bought the chip:rolleyes:

the first thing you need to do is create a bios cd to flash the chip as you can't do sod all with cromwell.

head over to http://forums.xbox-scene.com for more info.

a question: look at the dvd-rom tray. does it have three holes (1 big one in the middle and 2 small ones at the front) or just 1 big one?

if its only 1 big hole, then you'd better hope youv'e got a dvd writer.

or use A cd-rw. Samsung drives mean sod all, they have a betteer chance of reading CD-R (key word is chance). What you will need is a bios for the chip and a replacement dashboard. I recommend using slayers auto installer (search on google for it), this will autoinstall bios dash and a few apps.

    installer09,

I can make the Version 2.5 slayer kit available to you, on a private ftp site.

It's 30Mb in total though, I'll pm further details to you

you may also find this site useful for future reference

    http://www.newzbin.com/browse/cat/p/consoles/xbox/

Not knowing what version xbox you have I can't say if I have an appropriate BIOS for your chip, but I do have Executer 2 4977 in various flavours if appropriate.

That's the full self extracting archive .exe with all sorts of stuff crammed in there, but the .iso is the imortant piece.

the .iso file itself is 48,824,297 bytes, and when it's compressed using winrar it comes just under 30Mb.

I tend to use nero, never tried burning an iso with windows.

for nero version 6 the option you want is Burn Image, under the Recorder option, I can't remember where it is in earlier versions,

And you'll probably be best off using a cdrw, as "most" xbox drives can read these as opposed to standard cdr's.
