This shot was taken in the tropical house at 200mm, f2,8, Iso 800. I had to use some slight gaussian blur on the background as their was some noise and slight cage shadow.

That chimp loks well confused!

I didn't manage to catch the Lions when I was there for some reason. I think they were hiding!

Great job of capturing them though, particularly the last one :smashin:

Fantastic shots. I think the last one would have been better at a smaller aperture. The 'chromatic aberrations'* spoil it for me a bit, like a 'ready-brek' glow.

*I think that's what it is anyway! (Ready to be corrected by someone who knows better!)

dont really know what chromatic aberration is but if your talking about the slight glow around the bird thats more than likely caused by the gaussian blur being applied than anything to do with the lens.

Excellent shots John, really enjoyed viewing them.
What camera are you using....

regards

The first four shots are with a Canon 20D & Sigma 50 – 500mm lens.

The fifth shot is with a Canon 350D & Sigma 70 – 200mm f2.8 lens.
