I'd say that once a day I get a feeling as if I'm being rabbit punched in the chest. It lasts for maybe 5-10 seconds. It really hurts!

Anyway I've been to the doctor (different locum every visit at our surgery!) and they say nothing wrong.

I don't drink, given up smoking, avoid coffee (maybe one cup every 2-3 days).

    Not stressed.

It could be Pepsi or coca cola I suppose?

    Any other thoughts?

Could be heart burn? Cut out the fizzy drinks and see if it goes away. You can also demand that you have an ECG just to be on the safe side!
