Right firstly I'd like to point out I'm a student, so funds are tight. I've been building this system up for 3 years, and this is the result :).

    Kit list:

    - New! Sanyo PLV-Z1 LCD Projector :D
    - HCPC for DVDs scaling to 1:1 pixel mapped Z1 (winDVD 7)
    - Cambridge Audio Azur 540R
    - Toshiba 32ZD26P 480p TV
    - Xbox 360 in 1080i (exactly half scaled on the Z1) with optical cable for sound
    - Xbox 360 is also running Windows MCE, streaming HD Clips :D
    - Acoustic Energy Aegis Evo Centre, bi wired with Linn cable
    - Acoustic Energy Aegis Evo 3, mass filled and bi-wired with linn cable.
    - Mordaunt Short MS308 Sub with Ixos cable
    - Gale 3060b bipolar left and right surrounds
    - Acoustic Research "Red Box" back surround
    - Arcam Alpha CD player connected by linn phono cables
    - Cambridge Audio dvd55 dvd player - connected by Optical Digital and Component
    - Sky connected by Ixos RGB
    - Sky + from the other room by optical and S-Video over scart
    - Matching Toshiba Strata stand
    - Some blue futon (not as dirty as it looks!)

Oh, and a Stamford Bridge model :smashin:

Room now with PJ (more pics soon and tidier) Took the screen in the dark and the room in the light, obviously:

Nice set up - students these days, eh?

Everything was impressive, right up until the model of Stamford Bridge. Pity. Is there a minature Didier Drogba suspended in mid air holding his ankle and face twisted with imaginary pain ..... ?

Just pulling your leg, nice system.

    :D

Us chelsea fans don't exactly love him to be honest, we wish he wouldn't do it as well! Some chelsea fans were booing him at the end of the man city game.

    Thanks for the comment :)

Interesting that they were booing him. Really? As a Man City fan, he's not my most favourite player at the moment ..... handball! The arrogance of the man and the ethos of Chelsea came over nicely in the interview on MoTD don't you think?

The sub is in fact on a slab, covered in a dark blue pillow case! The speakers come with those bases, which the spikes screw in to. The slab for the sub is definately worth it.

That's a very nice system, especially considering it's in your bedroom! Wish I had something that good when I was a student, I hope you have insurance! :D

I am constantly amazed by how good the student system's are on this part of the forum. Again, another cracking system :smashin: . How do today's students do it, now they've got extra tuition fees (plus, more importantly, beer) to pay for

    Very nice, chedmaster. :)

(Been meaning to say something but… err… I have no excuse… plus I am insanely envious and jealous… and I really hate you because of what you have!!!!! ;))

Very smart – and very tidy, too. :)

Its from forum member mep, just down the road from me.

He was very kind letting me trial it first, and it started off projecting on to a sheet, i was having doubts. However, when I got a proper (well DIY) screen up I was blown away. Gladiator last night looked amazing.

I have just ceiling mounted it more pics will follow tomorrow :)
