Can you use the nifty tool to pick locks with?

Am I missing something or isn't this just a passive adaptor and can't you simply slot an SD card in the slot without need for a Nifty?

I like it, but if you use the SD card slot a lot then it would probably become a pain to keep removing it I guess?

You do get a free Nifty tool with which to remove it with, so you can make it a kind of game

sounds like some kind of colloquialism. "I'm just off upstairs for a nifty and I'll be back in a jiffy"

So an aesthetic product rather than new tech?

Yeah, in that case it looks quite nice. Not keen on the coloured ones, but the aluminium finish would be good in conjunction with a Mac.

You don't get a MicroSD card with it and you have to supply this yourself.

Read up and you'll find that the production models will be plastic and not the Aluminium being advertised in their promo video. Only the prototypes are aluminium :(

    but …

Spotted that a few weeks back but thought it looked like something that already had been done. Not having a MB these days I disregarded without a second thought. Sorry guys.

No, the bit that you will see is still ali, just the internals will be plastic.

And the point is most people will use it for extra add on storage rather than being mega portable (as per there original use) due to the frequent use of low capacity SSD's.
