Check region error

Firstly hi all I'm new to the forum.

I have a lg hx806ph blu ray which has suddenly came up with the error "check regional code in top left and ejects the disc.

It will play a bluray and even a backup, but will not play a region 2 original dvd's, I have check the settings and is set to GB

Is the firmware up to date?
