Do you know whether it has a glass screen? From the pictures it looks as though it might have. I have a lovely 3 year old to worry about. :)

    Cheers

Has anyone seen this tv in the flesh yet? It only appears to be available in 2 stores at the mo'.
Was just about to buy a toshiba 32wl56, but may have to hold off, though I don't need a digital tuner or card reader, though so may be paying over the odds for unneccessary bells and whistles...

    Hi

Does anyone have one of these Sagem 32" LCDs yet or at least anyone know of a supplier that has them in stock. I recall seeing something on this forum about them being recalled by Sagem but can't find the thread.

If you have got one or seen one what do you think?

    Thanks.

Thanx for the link peahead. I checked with them and they have informed me that they are still awaiting stock from Sagem. Appears Sagem keep putting the date back for some reason. Don't know if this adds to the rumours about their being a callback on the unit?????

Looks like I am going to go for this set.
    I am ordering from.... www.electricshop.co.uk @ £1099.00 delivered.

Phoned them today and they are expecting delivery "mid September" but wouldn't take a deposit on one to hold one for me (wanted full payment up front  )

Kinda worried. Really fancy this screen. Just feel I'm slipping into the past nightmare of when will it actually happen with ONdigital and Sky digital text services. I've asked four different people and got four different answers:

Sagem Customer Support Line - Don't know maybe by the end of September Sir.

Main contact on Sagem website - Imminent but final date tbc.

Supplier - Confirmed date from Sagem yesterday of 8 Sept.

Faxservice at Sagem - Comet at beginning of 2006.

Hmmm! Anyone at Sagem view this site and want to give some clarity please??

Well, sagem promised AVWOW who I had the tv on order from last week that would definitely be with them on 7/9, but didn't turn up. Now saying that due to such high demand they wanted to treat all suppliers fairly so going to send all units out at end of September. I can't of find this hard to believe and a good excuse Sagem have come up with. Anyone know a company who has them acutally in stock?

went to the Sagem website and it only shows 27" lcd. Says it has DVI input, so that means you have to input your sound through analogue. Why do lcd tv's seem to only have DVI in rather than HDMI.

Is there going to be a 42"?

Finally looks like there are some in the country. Sagem are having manufacturing problems so will only have 500 in the uk by end of the month, instead of anticipated 1000. I should have mine on Wednesday 21st. The store where I got mine today had another two arriving tomorrow. They have already sold.

    Hi,

If you go to to AVWOW.com website - http://www.avwow.co.uk/acatalog/L32.pdf - they have the latest pdf data sheet. Don't know if there is going to be a 42 inch but the 32 inch has a HDMI slot.

For those interesting in this TV, consider the LG 32LP1D, it's a slightly better specified TV that this one, although somewhat more expensive, but available now. If the sub £1000 reports in this thread are correct, then the sagem is an incredible deal.

Picked it up last night real late and did a quick set-up with a sky box and a pc connection via vga and rf lead. Really good looking telly.

Impressed with the analogue pictures, so then set up the freeview element. Really good picture quality, really impressed. Then turned the pc on, really impressed again with the picture quality. Tried the Picture and Picture option, very impressed except for size of the images. Never managed to work out how to turn back to normal picture, so turned off and on again. Sound quality very good. Had been watching about half an hour when it turned itself off, never to turn on again. So its on its way back for a replacement on Tuesday.
