Is there some way to cheat on FN 3?

Not that I want to as it would spoil the point of the game, but when trying to play on Live, I keep coming up against opponents with records like 0-15 or 0-0, who wipe me out in a round or two.

And no, I'm not awful at it, above average probably.

But I just get a sense that people with these records are doing something underhand - or is it just the clowns throwing one punch constantly...

Loving the game, but the sense that there is some malarkey afoot is robbing me of some of the fun.

    Anyone else felt this?

not that I am aware of. now i have all achievments am playing game back on hard lol every fight nearly goes the distance now.

i think they could have laid out the achievements better by time you win everlast achievment (last one) you still have a couple of belts left to achieve.

He is talking about the online game.

I dont see why anyone would want to artificially lower their score, which if I am reading correctly is what you are saying?

the only thing i can think of thats slightly cheating (and i do it where poss!)
is to use a 'custom boxer' then you can ramp up all the ratings of the fighter to 100.....

Having more success with my own fighter but still got an awful record 10-22 or something.

Online is where it's at with this game!! great fun.

Also i am more careful who i fight against, i aim to choose/accept people with similar records.

and yes....there should be at least some online achievements to unlock.

I fought one geezer who *only* threw left uppercuts the whole fight....I still lost though! was going to leave bad feedback but then i thought it's up to me to beat these type of fighters....

and after that there DNF % is clearly shown.

mine is 3% but i didn't quit, connection was lost, so it may not be too accurate

That's fair enough, I'd expect an disconnect to be shown as a DNF as there's no way to determine if it's accidently or on purpose. What happens with ranked matches when your opponent quits, do you still get the win?

Hopefully it's not like Tiger Woods where when your opponent quits not only do you not get the win but you also get a DNF!!

I had a quitter and Im pretty sure I didnt get the win for it.

I find the biggest difference between me and the better players online is there seeming sixth sense for knowing what punch I am throwing to enable them to parry it, leaving me wide open for a crunching haymaker.

I'm 30-6 online, you just have to be careful when you're fighting. No Rocky heroics, play it safe and remember to block and keep moving.

Heres a decent post to your question. I asked this exact same thing on a different thread a couple of weeks. On two occasions I went online, boxed the crap outa dem in round one, knocked dem to the floor twice and was hardly hurt myself...

Then amazingly, at the very beginning of round 2 my energy bar went down to less than a quarter and theres was at near full strength. I know cos |I had the H.U.D on. They then proceeded to know me out with a couple of punches, and these guys were total retards at the game in round 1.

In both cases, both boxers all that they did in the first round was throw badly timed haymakers whcih never connected. If this happened to you as well, it could well be a cheat. Then again it may be a bug. Best way is to test it. Play like a moron in round 1 just throwin haymakers, then c if u can knock em out in round 2 ;)

Don't you think if there was a cheat, it would be posted all over the more popular gaming websites?

Thats pretty much what happened to me in a couple of fights. In one of them I knocked the guy down in the first round, was really beating him, after the first round his injury % were something like 35ish% on both sides, mine were about 11%. 2nd round knocked him down again, 3rd round he got me into the slo mo phase with 1 punch, got me down, same again, same again, same again, till i couldnt get up. It was weird because I thought it was a monkey playing vs me in the first 2 rounds..

I fought an american guy yesterday, heavyweight. i threw over 20 haymakers and they all connected, i couldn't believe he was getting caught so much but i couldn't knock him out. i lost the fight by ko. when i went to the stats of the fight after, it said i threw zero haymakers. now i know that aint right. i sent him a text saying something stunk about that fight and he never replied.

i thought that maybe they can switch off the haymaker move, but he had 2 of them on his score sheet that connected.

its a shame that this happens because it spoils an excellent game, most fighters are good sports and if anyone wants a good slug fest, stick me on your friends list.

    cheers

My haymakers arent recorded all the time (single player). I could throw a good 10 or so Haymakers (all connecting) and at the end in the stats it says 0 haymakers?????

lol, throwing over 20 haymakers isnt something to brag about,I find opponents who rely on throwing the same big punch over and over again extremely annoying. For the record a haymaker is not the same as your signature punch(right shoulder button if your using config 3),so Im not sure if you are confusing the 2 punches.

You definatley get the win if an opponent disconnects, its happened to me a few times, some people just throw in the towel to stop themselves being further embarrased:devil: The most pleasing one was some annoying kid,who from the start of the first round was just continuously throwing the signature punch, catching me with it nearly all the time then laughing, shouting "haha, your [email protected],haha your [email protected]" so after about a minute of this, sussed out his style of play, then the fight continued in the vein of- dodge sig punch, batter opponent,repeat,rinse....the annoying little :censored: threw in the towel before the end of the first:D

Im 360less at the moment:rolleyes: but hopefully will be returning to the arena soon to do a Calzaghe on you all:cool:

The only cheat/bug I can find is when you are palying on the left hand side of the screen you can't duck down or do body shots all of the time.

    Anyone else found this?

Weird,I have had quite a few people disconnect and everytime Ive got the win.If that wasnt the case you would just get thousands of people disconnecting as soon as they started to lose:suicide:

Yep mine was ranked when it happened. Its only happened once tho, maybe we both got disconnected at exactly the same time so it cancelled each other out :D
