I am moving house next week and will be leaving my old speakers at the old address.

I was thinking that I would be able to do without a set of speakers until I can save up for a full set of M&K in a few months but have come to my senses and realised that I will probably go mad having to listen to music through my television speakers.

I am not worried about getting a full 5.1 system at the moment, just a reasonable pair of cheapish speakers for music, just to tide me over.

I have a Yamaha RXV496 receiver and play my CD's through my Sony DVD player, and, I will still have my Rel Q200 sub set up.

As well as this i still have a set of Target speaker stands which I would also like to use, so floorstanders are not really an option.

Any thoughts on what i could look at or should i just go to Richer Sounds and buy what they tell me too :D

edit: When i say 'cheapish' i mean sub £80

Check the RS advert in this months WhatHifi, usually a couple of good sets. Just looked. The TDl's appear to be £50 in the magazine ad. Eltax symphony 6.3 are up for about £50 as well.

Mission 771e's if you can find them. Not too big on bass, but a great sound nonetheless.

Basically go to RS and see what looks nice!
