Hi, after toying with the idea for ages, I've decided to take the plunge and get a projector (instead of a widescreen TV).
How much would I be looking at for the minimum requirements for using with a dvd player?

What else do I need (apart from the screen)?
Would second hand be a better way to go, and if so are there any links?

    Many Thanks

    James Elvin

I went for the Panasonic PT AE100. It isn't the most stunning of projectors...but for the price, about £1300 it is fab.
There has been a lot of reports about this projector failing but I am hoping it was down to a bad batch of early models.
Go for a DVD with progressive scan component output if you can.
Toshiba 510E....I think is affordable at £260.
Or build a home cinema PC...the option I took. It will cost more but should deliver the best possible pictures to the projector.

    Cheers

    Chris
