I've seen it advertised at £1500 inc stand & delivery - anyone seen it any cheaper in the UK?
1490 from one web site on Pricerunner!
Have just seen this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=22639&item=5719756406&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW on ebay - too good to be true?
Well you know the old saying "if it's too good to be true it probably is". There seems to be something a little odd about this one. Firstly this is a £2000 TV, they say it is not graded but brand new and they only charge £20 delivery. This TV weighs a ton and I find it a bit odd that they could only charge this amount for delivery.
I have had a look at his feedback and all his other transactions are for small things like cds and tshirts, certainly no TVs. This seems to be the first thing he has sold, everything else he has purchased.
I dunno how it would work with your credit card if you order it and it never shows up. If anyone buys this from him and it turns out ok then please let me know.
Agree - it looks a bit dodgy.
He has bought lots of small things over just a few days and got a f/b score of 17. Now he's listing a whole load of expensive TV's. He says they use Parcelforce 48 - I'm not sure Parcelforce would ship such big and heavy TV's, certainly not for £20.
Exactly what I thought - I emailed him & said it sounded too good to be true & this was his reply :
We obtain our goods from wholesalers or shops that go bust. Most of the items seen on ebay from us are from a shop in Romford, Essex that went bust a few weeks ago.
Thanks, and don't forget you are always more then welcome to view, and pay on collection
He has got a point - if you want to go & view etc.
Not sure where you'd stand though if they were nicked!
Well I emailed him and asked for a contact phone number to ask him some questions, he promptly replied and gave me 0208 5982145
Will call him later to see what he has to say.
hmmmmmm... I wonder what the mark-up is on these?? I ordered a Sony KV36FS76U form Curry's back in December/January.To cut a long story short the THIRD FS76U failed in August,i've now got an HQ100 from Curry's for ZERO more £££!! I paid £1299 online from Curry's for the FS76U...........
I see from ebay that he's sold one already.....
Any luck with the phone call?
I decided to wait and see how the person who bought one got on first. I emailed them and asked if he would let me know if it arrives ok and in good order. Though I noticed that the person who bought it has absolutely no feedback at all. No purchases and no sales, even though the've been a member since Dec 02. To be honest I am becoming more inclined to just leave this one.
Just to add a little more information, I don't know the weight of this TV, I guess it's a little more than 25kg I shipped an item last week from Romford Parcel Force using ParcelForce 48 and it cost me around £30 and they have a limit of 30kgs per item, if he cut's the TV up in smaller pieces then he will able to send it using Parcel Force. My advice is stay away.
97Kg on the box of mine!
Glad I didn't part with my hard earned cash - the guy selling the TV has now closed his Ebay account and dissapeared. The guy who says he had bought the TV & I was emailing has also dissapeared.
Shame 'cos £990 was a bloody good price!
Yea I noticed that as well, smeels like a scam to me. I have emailed the guy who supposedly bought it if he would let me know what happened but nothing yet.
