Looking to buy one of these as a birthday present for my dad. Whats the cheapest place to buy one with/without the cabinet stand ?

I have seen someone quote price of approx £800 delivered which seems very low - so low that I cant find it anywhere !!

    Help appreciated. Thanks

You could of had one with pedestal stand for about £810 from Currys but I read on another board that the 10% discount code no longer works but I would still look into as you never know.

There was a Currys code that knocked 10% off the £899 to bring it to £809. Code is defunct now but you may get another popping up if you want to take that chance of waiting.

Check out John Lewis If I was you because they have sold some for £899 ish but with a 5 year warranty.

If you're anyway near askdirect in London - they have the cabinet version for 899GBP (collection only). I got my local empire direct to price match for me.

Well I ordered it from JL and paid £1,109 inc the cabinet. At the same time I asked for a pricematch with either Ask Direct (£899 in cabinet) or worst case Empire Direct (£999 inc cabinet).

The telesales person at my local branch who took the order knows that if the pricematches do not come through, the TV will be returned. He asked me to send him an email with the links for the other sites and I have obliged.
