Last I saw (several weeks ago), that was the cheapest - with incremental increases of five to fifteen pounds between each model above that. For instance, I think the Goodmans GDB3 was £75, with the next boxes (Thomson and Daewoo) being £90.

All prices are from Argos, by the way. If it helps, I bought the GDB3 for my Gran those few weeks ago and aside from hiccoughs that were probably the result of my uncle's button-pushing during the first week or two, the box has been problem-free - more reliable than my more-recently purchased Netgem, in fact! :rotfl:

Richer are now doing freeveiw boxes and dixons had reduced stock of earlier models to £80 but makro do a box for £60 IIRC its exclusive and a cut down version of the thomson i beleive.

Well I've found the best value yet, as I've already commented on the DS forum.

Its a Lodos DVB-T3 box at larger Sainsburys. It looks the same as the Goodmans GDB2 complete withmassive remote. The plus is that it also has audio phonos and its at ........

    50 notes

Sainsburys appear to have direct shipped them in from the Turkish OEM :smashin:

And before you ask the firmware is at 3.2 and I don't know what's different.

Definitely the one to go for.....;)

Half the size, slightly faster could be better.. no sticky yellow menus which is a bonus and it has a nice little programme reminder.. people says the Grundig crashes allot so fat i have had none. The nokia also never crashed my experience of boxes has been good.
I miss the LED standby clock which my Nokia had.. none of the new Boxes have them..

The Grundig GDT1500 bread bin is only £58 in Dixons but bear in mind you'll have to replace the power supply capacitor if you buy this model.
