Amazon.co.uk sometimes undercut Play, as long as one orders enough to qualify for free postage, £29 I seem to recall.

DVDPopcorn.com are worth a look too.

Play and playusa.com would be my choice.. amazon is okay but sometimes you can get hit with the customs and exercise duty if you are not careful or just plain unlucky I guess.

cdwow is very good for r1 and 2, especially in the bargain basement section! dvdsoon very cheap for region 1 dvds. Also use play and amazon.co.uk for region 2.

    Hi

I have found that DVDSoon.com are cheaper by a couple of pounds for each DVD. I had found 'Hellboy' for £13.99 from another of the US online stores, but DVDSoon were offering it for £11.63, with free shipping (international).

    You could try them anyway.

Customs & Excise Duty only relates to items purchased overseas which exceed an £18 (pounds sterling) value prior to any postage. If your DVD costs anything less than £18 then you won't be liable for this duty. If it does then you will be charged, usually by the postman on your doorstep, 6% of the total value, including the cost of the postage too.

    Thread started 04-09-2003

The advice on the first part of this thread is a little out of date (Splash DVD no longer exist for example) so I would advice people not to take it to the bank!

Have you considered shoplifting, you can get some jolly cheap DVD's that way :D

I wait a couple of weeks after release date and then buy ex rentles from Blockbusters 3 for the price of 2. It works out at about £8 each for three. You can't get much cheaper :smashin:
